Rita Daniela first entered in the music industry as a young singer before going in for acting. She joined in the 2005 Philippine reality talent competition "Popstar Kids" and hailed as the grand champion. Following her win, she became a member of a singing group, Sugarpop. Soon, she decided to enter the acting industry as a child star at first and continued doing various TV projects.
While Rita is present in both of her singing and acting career, she released her first album in 2015 titled "Rita Daniela." She continued to release music as years goes by.

When Rita was casted as Aubrey, in the advocacy drama series "My Special Tatay," it became her first big break since she entered the acting industry. Aubrey was a prostitute who took advantage of Boyet's (played by Ken) sickness and resulted to her being pregnant. Originally, she was an antagonist and a supporting role who will eventually leave in the latter part of the story. However, things have changed when the viewers started to see her unexpected chemistry with the main lead, Ken Chan. An unexpected high demand from the audience came about how the two of them should end up together therefore, the writers of the story heard it, they changed the original storyline and made Aubrey end up with Boyet.

Following her successful portrayal as Aubrey, Rita got her first official lead role, Jowalyn, together with her unexpected partner again, Ken as Grant, in the romantic-comedy series "One of the Baes," wherein she plays as a marine student who dreams to be a ship captain in the future.
