Rita Daniela and Ken Chan is known as GMA's unexpected loveteam, "RitKen," which started in the Philippine advocacy drama, "My Special Tatay."

How did they became the "unexpected loveteam?"

In 2018, GMA Network aired an advocacy drama called "My Special Tatay," which advocates a person with mild intellectual disability, that was originally led by Ken Chan as Boyet and his leading lady Arra San Agustin as Carol. On the other hand, Rita Daniela's character, Aubrey, was a prostitute at first, and originally she was only a supporting role for the drama. Boyet and Aubrey had a lot of funny as well as emotional scenes together which caused the viewers to ship them. Additionally, because of the way both Rita and Ken portray their characters, the audience saw their chemistry. Their videos and pictures went viral and trended everywhere in social media. The viewers began to demand more scenes of them and wished that they would end up together in the story. Just like that, everything changed so eventually, Boyet and Aubrey beautifully wrapped up the story. That turning point was the beginning of their journey as loveteam in which they first started to be known as "BoBrey."

After the success of the series, the BoBrey loveteam had a concert as a way to thank the people who supported their show. During the concert, Rita and Ken showcased their various performances together and individually.

Rita and Ken had a cameo in the "Kiko en Lala" movie as their own character BoBrey in their previous successful series.

DEAR UGE

Dear Uge: Isko ng Bayan

Their journey together continued and they were already recognized as the "RitKen" loveteam. They had an episode for the Philippine TV comedy show "Dear Uge." Rita plays the role as Betty while Ken portrays his character as Isko.

DAIG KAYO NG LOLA KO

Daig Kayo ng Lola Ko: Harry Nodini Falls for Bessy

RitKen once again teamed up in a Philippine TV fantasy show "Daig Kayo ng Lola Ko" with a magical storyline that runs under five episodes. Rita portrayed two roles: Mina and Bessy while Ken plays his role as Harry.

STUDIO 7: PICK ME UP

In the Philippine variety show "Studio 7," RitKen interpreted the love story of a motorcycle driver and an online seller.

ONE OF THE BAES

One of the Baes: Episode 20

Following the success of "My Special Tatay" and their follow-up projects, the demand for the RitKen loveteam was still going up. Therefore, they were given another series titled as "One of the Baes," a millennial fairytale about a future ship captain and a vlogger. While RitKen's previous series was an advocacy drama, One of the Baes is under the comedy genre. Rita's character, Jowalyn, enrolled in a maritime academy, dreaming to be a ship captain in the future while Ken's role as Grant is a vlogger but also decided to enroll in the academy, thinking that he can find his "crown princess" there.

Studio 7: Rocking Your Saturday Night

In 2019, RitKen became one of the performers in the Philippine variety show "Studio 7." They had a lot of different performances during the airing period of the show.

THE CLASH (season 2, season 3, and so on)

The Clash: Christmas Special

The Clash is a Philippine reality singing competition show and RitKen was casted as the "journey hosts" starting from season 2 up until the current season.

All Out Sundays: All Out Concert Experience

Currently, RitKen is one of the main casts and performers of the on-going Philippine variety show every Sunday, "All-Out Sundays."

ANG DALAWANG IKAW

Ang Dalawang Ikaw: 'Nandiyan Ka Pa Ba?' Music Video

The journey of RitKen's loveteam is going strong until now because of the undying love and support of their fans and both of them non-stop showcasing how talented they are. As a result of their hardwork, they were given again another advocacy drama series "Ang Dalawang Ikaw," which deals with a person who suffers from Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID), also known as "Multiple Personality Disorder." Their new show airs on June 21, 2021 in GMA's afternoon drama slot. Ken plays the role of a husband with a DID who has two personalities: Nelson (main personality) and Tyler (alter personality). Rita portrays Mia, a loving wife who is willing fight for his husband.

Huling Ulan sa Tag-Araw

Huling Ulan sa Tag-Araw Music Video

Another blessing for RitKen is their first movie together "Huling Ulan sa Tag-Araw," in which Ken plays as Luis, a soon to be priest and Rita as Luisa, a bar performer. The taping of the movie was already finished last 2020, and the showing will be announced soon.
